Wig Care Instructions
Tressallure
Heat-Friendly Synthetic Hair Wig Care
- For longer wigs, carefully detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb. Start from the ends and work your way toward the roots to reduce shedding.
- Rinse your wig using lukewarm water, flowing from roots to ends.
- Shampoo using TressAllure Shampoo, which is specifically formulated for synthetic fibers.
- To remove the shampoo, let the water flow from roots to tips until all shampoo is removed.
- Gently condition the fibers using TressAllure Conditioner, being careful not to allow the conditioner to touch the monofilament or lace material. To remove the conditioner, let the water flow from roots to tips until all conditioner is removed.
- To dry, gently blot the wig with a towel. Allow it to air dry on a towel, Styrofoam head, or wig stand. Do not wring out water. Do not brush or style the wig until it is completely dry.
- Once dry, style as desired. For heat-friendly synthetic fibers, styling tools should not exceed 350°F (180°C).
Modacrylic Synthetic Hair Wig Care
Follow the same care instructions as outlined above for Heat-Friendly Synthetic Hair, except:
Do NOT use heated styling tools on modacrylic fibers.

Human Hair Wig Care
- Before washing your wig, gently detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb or wig brush, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots.
- Use a sulfate-free, gentle shampoo specifically designed for human hair wigs.
- Apply a small amount of shampoo to your hands, lather, and gently apply it to the hair, avoiding excessive scrubbing.
- Rinse the hair thoroughly with cool water, allowing the water to flow in the direction of the hair (from roots to ends) to prevent tangling.
- Apply a high-quality, sulfate-free conditioner from mid-length to ends. Avoid applying conditioner to the roots or cap, as this can loosen the knots. Consider using a leave-in conditioner to add moisture and protect the hair.
- Deep Conditioning: Once a month, treat your wig or topper with a deep conditioning treatment. Apply the deep conditioner, leave it on for 20–30 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly. Avoid applying conditioner to the roots or cap, as this can loosen the knots.
- Gently squeeze out excess water with a towel. Avoid rubbing or wringing the hair, as this can cause tangling and breakage.
- Allow the hair to air dry on a wig stand or hanger. If blow-drying: set the dryer to a cool or low heat setting, use a heat protectant spray, and dry in sections, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- Human hair wigs and toppers can be styled with curling irons, flat irons, and other heat tools. Always use a heat protectant spray to prevent damage. Limit the use of heat styling tools to maintain the hair's integrity and prolong its lifespan.
- Store your wigs on a wig stand or mannequin head to maintain their shape and prevent tangling.
